There’s No History in Wilmslow!
David Briggs Chair Wilmslow Historical Society.
That’s what one lady once told the Wilmslow Historical Society. Join David Briggs for a fascinating slideshow and virtual walk through the heart of Wilmslow to hear how wrong she was!
David uncovers hidden history that is often forgotten or goes unnoticed:
Bronze Age burials and bog bodies
Anglo-Saxon settlements and medieval deer parks
Civil War murders and the rise of the textile industry
Railways, World War II, and even modern music icons
This talk reveals the rich and surprising past of Wilmslow—far beyond what meets the eye.
